Langabúð
Pay a visit to the art museum, an exhibition on the life and work of sculptor and woodcarver Ríkarður Jónsson, and the memorial museum, dedicated to the politician Eysteinn Jónsson. Both these men came from Djúpivogur.
Look at the handcraft workshop, which is run by Kvennsamiðjan, women's workshop in Djúpivogur, as well as the coffee shop in Langabúð.

Papeyjarferðir
Papeyjarferðir hf start tours to the island Papey around the beginning of June. Each tour takes around four hours. The island is one of Iceland's greatest bird-nesting grounds. The birdlife in and on the magnificent seabird cliffs, that reaching 20 to 45 m straight up from the sea, and the natural beauty of the island will not leave you untouched "Seeing is believing".

Golf
Djúpivogur golf course is in a short distance from Djúpivogur, at Hamri in Hamarsfjörður. The course is nine holes and it is situated in remarkably surroundings of cliffs
Sea or shore-angling
(PLEASE ORDER ONE WEEK BEFORE ARRIVAL).
Hótel Framtíð has access to two fine sea-angling boats and fishing trips of varying duration can be arranged, the minimum being 2 hours. The fishing grounds are jest off shore and usually there is plenty of fish there. Sea-angling can be tremendous fun and fine relaxation.
Walks
There are many interesting walks in Djúpivogur and its surroundings. A map with foot-paths and tracks around Djúpivogur can be obtained at the reception.
Hill climbing above Djúpivogur is not too difficult and view from the peak of the mountain Búlandstindur is fantastic experience.
Swimming Pool
Djúpivogur swimming pool is in a short distance from the hotel. The swimming pool is open all days
